College Street Elementary named Lone Star Ribbon School

Lindale—The Lindale Independent School District announced that College Street Elementary has been named a 2026 Lone Star Ribbon School by Governor Greg Abbott. College Street Elementary is one of only 25 Texas public schools selected for the honor in recognition of outstanding academic performance.

“Young Texans are the future of our state, and it is critical that they have access to a high-quality education,” Abbott said. “We will invest in the students, teachers, staff, and parents who are essential to building a bigger, brighter Texas for generations to come.”

The Lone Star Ribbon Schools program replaced the National Blue Ribbon Schools program following the U.S. Department of Education’s efforts to return greater control of education to the states.

To be eligible for the designation, campuses must earn an overall “A” accountability rating, maintain strong performance across accountability domains and demonstrate consistent student success on state assessments.

This recognition reflects the dedication of College Street Elementary’s students, teachers, staff members, administrators and families. Their commitment to academic excellence and student success continues Lindale ISD’s long-standing Tradition of Excellence.
