City council advances projects

Water department fleet purchase plan

City Manager Caldwell addressed the status of three Water Department trucks originally ordered in March that have experienced delivery delays. Caldwell noted that Police Chief Brent Chambers advised the current vendor that if the trucks were not produced by Aug. 31, the city would move to another supplier capable of delivering within three to four days.

IT Services: Approved the MiCare Agreement (Gold option) for the Mitel phone system at an annual cost of $7,789 with a 4-0 vote. Councilman Tardiff briefly stepped out of the room during the vote.
