Lindale Police Brief – Week ending 5/8/2026

DISTURBANCE - 911 hang up, officers responded to location for verbal disturbance between two individuals.
Public Intox - Officers called to welfare check at location for an individual unresponsive on sidewalk. Made contact with the
individual who was ultimately placed in custody for PI.

Reckless Driving, Hit & Run – A truck drove recklessly and hit a parked car and a mailbox and continued on.

Failure to Yield - Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on an individual operating an e-dirt bike/motorcycle on E Centennial
Blvd. The rider attempted to flee but was detained shortly after. The rider was identified as a juvenile and the parent responded to
the scene.

False Report - Officers responded after RP called 911 to make a report of harassment against one of RPs neighbors and demanded
an officer be dispatched immediately. Upon arrival it was determined RP had used 911 to a baseless claim of a criminal violation to
generate a police response. RP was arrested for making the false report to 911.
