Police Weekly Report Week Ending 11/8/2024

ASSIST SCSO-Received a 911 call from location regarding a physical altercation. Transfer to county was unsuccessful the first 2 times. Finally got through to the county and they requested an officer. Lindale PD arrived and held security until relieved by the deputy.

WELFARE CHECK-Caller is a passerby advised that there is a young female walking WB, wearing all black and carrying a black backpack. Officer checked area and failed to locate the female. Officer did locate a male walking WB in the area. The officer checked on him and gave courtesy transport to the Country Store.

SUSP VEHICLE-While checking another case, the officer located a vehicle on the side of the interstate with its flashers on that appeared to be wrecked. After Officer dropped the individual off at Country Store, he went back to the vehicle, which was unoccupied

SUSP VEHICLE/RECOVER STOLEN VEHICLE-Vehicle had obviously been wrecked as damage was done and airbags were deployed. Dispatch advised officers that the Sheriff’s Office had been looking for a white truck that was reported to have been involved in several accidents along the interstate. Vehicle matches description of the vehicle county and DPS were looking for. Both agencies advised that since the vehicle was now in Lindale’s jurisdiction, they were not coming out. 

CRIMINAL TRESPASS, CREWS AND BUY-RP called advising that employee is suspected of stealing money from the store and has been terminated. RP wants individual criminal Trespassed from the property. CTW Issued. 

WELFARE CONCERN, TRIPPLE J’S-RP is manager who called to advise that an individual was on location acting as if he was under the influence, confused and did not know how he got there nor what vehicle he was in. Officers contacted an individual who was extremely disoriented and did not know who he was. EMS arrived on scene and officers were finally able to identify. A short time later, dispatch received an Overdue Motorist message on the individual -individual was at the hospital, suffers from a TBI.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS-RP is advising that her ex-boyfriend was at the location and struck her in the face. 

Theft/ Fraud – Phone report-Uber driver stated that she was scammed out of money after receiving call stating that a complaint had been made. 

AOA – Gas station at 110/I20-Officers assisted county on a burglary at the gas station. Once the scene was secure, it was handed over to deputies.

CT-Individual was at the location and was causing issues. Subject is not on the lease, landlord wanted him gone. CT issued and subject left.
