Lindale Police Brief – Week ending 12/5/2025
THEFT-AP called regarding an individual who shop lifted $61.35 worth of merch.
DISTURBANCE-RP advised that spouse had laid hands on RP and choked RP. RP is sitting in a vehicle in front of the apartment to remain separated. Officers arrived and found RP HIGHLY intoxicated. RP had no signs of being assaulted or choked. Parties were separated and call cleared as a disturbance.
ASSIST OTHER AGENCY-Received a request for assistance for a death notification.
POW-Received a call from a neighbor who advised that smoke was coming from inside a neighboring apartment and that an individual was laying on the floor unconscious but breathing. Officers arrived to find individual passed after putting the turkey in the oven for Thanksgiving. EMS transported the individual to the hospital under a POW.
ACCIDENT-4 Vehicle MVA. Eastbound traveling vehicle’s driver fell asleep and plowed through the intersection taking out 3 other cars. No serious injuries.
THEFT-RP working black Friday security requested an officer for a shoplifter in the AP’s Office. Individual had shop lifted a pullover valued at $20-issued a citation for theft and issued a CT warning.
FOUND PROPERTY-RP came to the PD with a set of keys that RP found walking. Officer took property. Owner is unk so they were logged for safekeeping.
ASSIST SCSO-SCSO requests assistance regarding an individual being 10-99 from Smith County for burg of habitation, $400,000 bond. Officers assisted with establishing a perimeter. TPWD and Pct 5 Constable took him into custody with the help of Lindale PD drone, SCSO drone and k-9 officers.
PUBLIC INTOX-Received a call of an individual passed out at the pump. Officers arrive and made contact with the individual who was extremely intoxicated- arrested for PI and taken to Smith County Jail.
PUBLIC INTOX/MED ASSIST-Individual was intoxicated and made a home in the break room. Individual located sleeping in the break area was so intoxicated that they were not charged with PI, but had to be released to EMS.
FRAUD-More than $10,000 in gift cards and cash app. These scams will pick up as the holidays continue.
