Credit union to provide teacher grants

September 10, 2025

Lindale—At the grand opening of its branch in the Lindale community, Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) announced an initiative to give back to local educators: the “CUTX Loves Lindale Teachers” campaign. This program will award a total of $25,000 in grants to support classrooms and campuses across the Lindale Independent School District.

As part of the campaign, CUTX will award:

• 15 Classroom Impact Grants of $1,000 each to individual teachers who apply and share how they would use the funds to benefit their students.

• A $10,000 Campus Grant to the Lindale school with the highest percentage of CUTX teacher members. The winning school’s principal will determine how best to use the funds, such as upgrading technology, refreshing a teacher lounge, enhancing library resources, or other campus needs.

Teachers can submit applications online at cutx.org/LISD. The deadline for applications is Oct. 31. The winners will be selected by a panel of CUTX employees and community leaders.

This initiative is one of the many ways CUTX supports educators and invests in the communities it serves. CUTX will donate proceeds from its Community Grill food truck sales at Lindale’s annual CountryFest this October to the Lindale ISD Education Foundation.
