Lindale Police Weekly Brief – Week ending 3/14/2025
POSS CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE-Officers suspected an individual of PI, dancing on trash cans and screaming at people. The individual was arrested for PI. Officers found a bong that tested positive for meth.
WARRANT SERVICE-After a hit on the vehicle, the individual was taken into custody in the parking lot without incident.
ASSAULT-Officers were called to a disturbance between a couple over fentanyl that turned physical.
FOUND PROPERTY-Bags of marijuana, marijuana vape pens and assorted paraphernalia were located in a package picked up by LPD.
VAGRANT-A vagrant sleeping at local business and was told to leave. The individual was later found drinking in public at the gas station and was criminally trespassed from that location. He was given courtesy transport to a different town.
POW-An individual was riding as a passenger with her husband in a semi-truck when she told him she wanted to die and jumped out of the moving semi at approximately 55 mph onto I-20. She had several injuries from the fall but was standing when officers arrived. She made multiple statements about her desire to die to officers and has multiple diagnoses. She was transported to the hospital for her injuries where a POW was submitted.
ASSAULT FV/RESISTING ARREST-A passerby reported a couple arguing on the side of the road near an exit ramp. When officers arrived, the couple was still arguing. One had a swollen lip and was bleeding. When officers went to detain the subject, he resisted and began to fight officers. He eventually complied and was placed under arrest for Assault FV and Resisting.
