indale Police Significant Events Week ending 3/7/2025
STOLEN LICENSE PLATE-The RP called to advise that one of his employees went to the location to retrieve a semi and noticed the front license plate had been stolen.
HIT AND RUN ACC-RP called to advise that a vehicle struck his work van. The driver told him that she did not have insurance and then drove off.
THEFT-RP came to the PD lobby to report $40 stolen from him at self-checkout when he got cash back from his transaction.
WELFARE CHECK-RP called and stated that she was on the phone with her mother who resides at this address, the phone cut out, and she has not been able to get ahold of her mother since. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the individual who stated she didn’t know how to use her phone, so officers instructed her on how to answer the phone and had her call her daughter back.
DISTURBANCE-RP stated a customer assaulted him by slamming the door into him then using racial slurs. The suspect left the location by the time officers arrived on scene. RP declined to press charges, advised if the individual returned, he wished for her to be warned from property.
FRAUD-RP reported that he got a bill in the mail by someone using his identity to open an account.
AOA-Accident occurred and driver of one vehicle was arguing before leaving the scene on foot. Assist req made and officers helped county try and locate the driver.
CT-AP called stating an individual is at the store and she is responsible for 5 thefts previous. Nothing stolen today but wants a CT done. CT completed.
ASSIST EMS-Caller stated that he was having bad thoughts and needed help. He was not suicidal but having possibly PTSD issues. It was causing physical symptoms. Treated by EMS.
UNATTENDED DEATH-Family came to check on occupant after not hearing from him. They found the occupant deceased on the couch. JP called and an autopsy requested.
SUS CIRCS-Door to residence is open and no one is living there currently. Officer located owner who said the people who moved out broke the door. Door secured.
