Elections could bring changes

City council and school board elections are happening in Texas on May 3. Candidate applications are open for submission from Jan. 15 to Feb. 15. Applications can be submitted anytime between 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. 

Voters in these cities will be able to vote on candidates running for the following offices:

Lindale:

City-Place 4, 5, 

School board-Position 1, 2

Tyler:

City-District 1, 3, 5

School board-Districts 1, 3, 6

Mineola: 

City-Mayor and council members 1, 2, 3

School board-3 positions at large

Winona:

City-Alderman 2, 4, 5

School board-Places 1, 3, 5, 7

Hawkins:

City-Alderman 2, 4, 5

School board-Position 4 at large

Big Sandy:

City-Mayor and 2 council members at large

School board-2 places at large

Van:

City-Places 1, 2, 3

School board-Place 4, 5, 6, 7
