Rita Ann Watson Norris

Rita Ann Watson Norris, age 78 of Lindale, passed away on November 27, 2024, in Tyler. She was born in Lindale in 1946 to Ray and Marguerite Watson. Rita was a Lindale native and a proud resident of her hometown most of her life. She was a member of Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church. She worked at various jobs while raising her children and making a happy home. She went back to school at TJC and graduated in 1994 with a degree in medical record management and worked at Healthsouth and then ETMC until her retirement.
Rita was good at so many things, but will be remembered for her cooking, crafting, sewing, gardening, her fun-loving personality and her warm, caring heart.
Rita is survived by her children, Christy Humphries and Chad Norris; grandchildren Julianne Williams and husband Keenan, Emily Norris, Candace Norris, Aaron Norris and Nicholas Humphries; and three great-grandchildren, Leo, Hadley and Kaiden.
A memorial service in her honor will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and service following at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church's building fund.
